Earn your Doctor of Physical Therapy and launch your career in just three years at the Husson University School of Physical Therapy. This intensive doctoral program is designed for students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree and prerequisite coursework. The program combines academic excellence with immersive training opportunities at one of over 350 clinical sites nationwide or within Husson’s SOARing Eagles Healthcare (SEH), a student-run pro bono clinic. Coursework emphasizes collaborative research, giving students the chance to co-author publications and present at national conferences. With over 80 peer-reviewed faculty publications and more than 150 abstracts to their credit, the Physical Therapy department at Husson equips graduates with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to thrive in diverse healthcare environments.

Course Spotlights

PT 400 Clinical EDU I

Provides students with guided experience in the affective skills of clinical practice.

PT 450 Neurophysiology

Develops a basic understanding of the neuroanatomical and neurophysiological substrates underlying human perception, movement, cognition and language.

PT 562 Management of the Medically Complex Patient

Applies a blend of group discussion and lectures to discuss complex concepts in acute care physical therapy practice.

PT 661 Exercise for Special Populations

Course focuses on mastery of the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities as set forth by the American College of Sports Medicine in their guidelines and position stands for exercise in various populations.

ACCREDITATION

The MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program combines preparation for certification and licensure and is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
