CO 711 Legal, Ethical, and Professional Issues in Counseling

Provides a legal and ethical framework for the counseling profession as well as a focus on standards and credentialing

CO 712 Group Process

Enables students to understand the types of groups, their purpose, development and dynamics, counseling theories, and group counseling methods and skills.

CO 716 Adventure Therapy in Counseling

Introduces students to adventure therapy programs that deal with people with psychological disorders and examines therapeutic adventure strategies.

CO 801 Marriage and Family Counselin

Helps students understand the structure and function of marriage, the various aspects of the martial relationship, family systems, and ways the counselor may approach marriage and family counseling.

ACCREDITATION

The MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program combines preparation for certification and licensure and is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
